Introduction To Long Form Improvisation
8 Sundays from 3:00 pm to 5:00pm, starting January 11 2009
This course is designed for anyone interested in learning the craft of scene-based improvisation. By slowing down our work, we will focus acutely on the improv fundamentals of listening, agreement and patience. We will not look to inject our scenes with “funny” ideas but rather find the patterns and relationships that will build to a comedic crescendo. Students in the class will learn a number of Chicago-style improvisational forms as they learn to produce honest and realistic scenes from scratch.
All workshops are $175.00. If you are interested, please contact us before January 9 2009. All workshops are eight weeks, each class is two hours.
